Welcome to Bike Buddies Cycling Club
Bike Buddies Cycling Club is the result of two groups of riders and friends merging together with a goal to advance participation in cycling and cycling related activities.
We welcome all skill levels of riding from someone who has never been on a group ride to professional cyclists. Some members race on the road, some in a velodrome, some are mountain bike racers, some are ultra distance riders, and finally some just like to go out and ride with their friends every Saturday. Everyone will benefit, have fun, and maybe learn a thing or two about cycling and how to be better.
In the end, we have two main objectives and they are to increase participation in the sport of cycling at any level and to improve our local community. If either of these objectives sound like something you would be interested in being involved with, come on out and ride with us! We usually ride in the East County of San Diego.
Get out there and ride!
Homes for Hope
Some of our club members have gotten involved in the Homes for Hope project. This group helps build homes for needy families in Mexico. Their next build project is scheduled for October 7-9. Not everyone can help build but sponsorships are needed to help with building materials and expenses. If you would like to help, contact Mylene at one of our rides.
Here is a short video showing the building of one of the homes. Homes for Hope The joy and gratitude on the families faces when they see their new home is worth all the hard work.

This will be potluck so bring a dish to share. Mike will furnish the drinks and dessert. Mike has a fabulous house and pool so bring your suit if you want to swim. Carl will send out email with the address but if you are not on his list just click here and he will send you the address to Mike's house. Hope to see all of you there.
August 13 was another great clean-up day. This does not take long when you have a good group helping out. If you have not been on one of our clean-ups please try to make the next one on November 12. It is a nice social time for everyone as well as knowing you have done a great community service for all bike riders. Here are some pictures of the last clean-up. Thank you to all that were able to help out.

The group split up as some needed to be back earlier. The time for the ride back took 9 hours or more (with rest stops)and a total of about 105 miles.
