Welcome to Bike Buddies Cycling Club

Bike Buddies Cycling Club is the result of two groups of riders and friends merging together with a goal to advance participation in cycling and cycling related activities.

We welcome all skill levels of riding from someone who has never been on a group ride to professional cyclists.  Some members race on the road, some in a velodrome, some are mountain bike racers, some are ultra distance riders, and finally some just like to go out and ride with their friends every Saturday.  Everyone will benefit, have fun, and maybe learn a thing or two about cycling and how to be better.

In the end, we have two main objectives and they are to increase participation in the sport of cycling at any level and to improve our local community.  If either of these objectives sound like something you would be interested in being involved with, come on out and ride with us!  We usually ride in the East County of San Diego.

We meet at Starbuck's (near PetCo) in Rancho San Diego, off of Fury Dr. and Jamacha Rd. in El Cajon, CA. We group together ready to ride at 8:00 am on Saturday mornings. Some in the group may leave a little earlier but the main group rolls out at 8:00 am. We head out towards Alpine and back with different level of riders turning around at their skill level. We meet back up for a little social time after the ride.

Get out there and ride!

Homes for Hope

Some of our club members have gotten involved in the Homes for Hope project. This group helps build homes for needy families in Mexico. Their next build project is scheduled for October 7-9. Not everyone can help build but sponsorships are needed to help with building materials and expenses. If you would like to help, contact Mylene at one of our rides.

Here is a short video showing the building of one of the homes.   Homes for Hope    The joy and gratitude on the families faces when they see their new home is worth all the hard work.
